Nerosicilia at Sensory Landscape by Elle Decor Italia with the laNera Surface
During Milan Design Week 2026, Nerosicilia takes part in Sensory Landscape, the project curated by Piero Lissoni for Elle Decor Italia inside Palazzo Bovara.
Within the exhibition path, Nerosicilia creates EX LIBRIS, an immersive space entirely built through the laNera lava stone surface in the 15×15 cm format.
The volcanic material covers the entire floor and the two large central tables, transforming the environment into a monolithic room dominated by black tones and grazing light. Illuminated metal bookcases emerge from the darkness as suspended elements, while the natural texture of lava stone defines depth, rhythm and spatial perception.
EX LIBRIS is conceived as a space dedicated to consultation and listening. A silent and intimate place where matter becomes continuous architecture and a narrative surface.
The laNera surface highlights the most essential character of lava stone through matte variations, deep reflections and a tactile presence that directly recalls the volcanic landscape of Mount Etna.
The experience is developed by Thomas Umbaca / Ponderosa Music Records with an editorial selection curated by Feltrinelli Editore. Within the space, lava stone interacts with USM modular bookcases, Kartell seating and a lighting project designed by DGA.
