Ancient and Contemporary
in perfect harmony.

In the heart of the Iblei Mountains, the ancient language of a historic residence is perfectly combined with that of contemporary materials. Architect Alessandro La Perna creates a continuous dialogue between ancient and modern.

On the floor Multiplem, in the enneDue finish with the inclusion of Colourfield Celeste elements, is a continuum with the exterior, while iTessuti decorates some vertical elements that lead into the other rooms of the home.

The splashback and kitchen top are made entirely of enneDue. The same surface becomes three-dimensional in the large fireplace in the living room and the inside wall of the shower worked with a three-dimensional texture.
The enneDue surface used with Multiplem was deliberately chosen in the various shading of the lava stone.

Lava stone naturally presents different shades of grey, which are emphasised when fired, showing all the naturalness of the stone. The recycled glass used in Colorfield is in the 'orange peel' version, which creates an 'imperfect' and soft texture, allowing a glimpse of the surface of the lava stone.
