At the foot of Taormina, overlooking the bay of the same name and the iconic Isola Bella, Mazzarò Sea Palace is a Signature destination of Mediterranean hospitality. Designed by DeTales, the interiors reinterpret the light, water, and rock of Sicily’s Ionian coast through a narrative of natural surfaces, where lava stone from Mount Etna becomes the material that flows throughout the hotel's spaces.

For the Mazzarò Sea Palace, Nerosicilia developed a bespoke selection of natural lava stone surfaces that accompany guests throughout the hotel, from the interior flooring to the bar counter, from the tables of the Blum restaurant to the countertops in the suites. Each finish is custom-made, reflecting the dialogue between volcanic material and bespoke design.
The Suites
In the suites, the bedside tables and minibar countertops are crafted in Oxilava Rosso lava stone. This oxidized finish, with its warm earthy tones, evokes the volcanic soil of Mount Etna, bringing the essence of Sicilian materiality into the intimacy of the room.
Concierge Desk
The Concierge Desk is crafted in lava stone. Its monolithic countertop, softened by gently rounded edges, contrasts the density of the volcanic material with the textured fabric finish of the base, creating a distinctive welcome feature at the entrance to the hotel.
Blum Restaurant
The tables at Blum Restaurant are clad in Oxilava Tarsia, an oxidized lava stone finish featuring unique green-blue tones that evoke the seabed and shimmering waters of Mazzarò, creating distinctive inlays that dialogue with the restaurant’s dark marble interiors.
