ReDesign Tower _ Milan Design Week 2024

The Nerosicilia ReDesign Tower is a compelling example of how art and design can intersect with sustainability principles. Situated in the historic heart of Milan, in Brera, this temporary installation serves as a symbolic bridge between the city's past and future, demonstrating how recycled materials can be transformed into innovative and meaningful works of art.

Leonardo Talarico, the designer of this structure, envisioned the ReDesign Tower as an "ideal skyscraper," incorporating 400 works of art created by nerolabstudio. These works not only showcase the aesthetic beauty of contemporary design but also emphasize its potential to foster more sustainable practices. By using materials from Nerosicilia's historical archive, the tower stands as a testament to the commitment to reusing natural materials and transforming them into new artistic forms.

The choice to place this installation in Largo Treves is intentional: Brera, as one of Milan's cultural and artistic hubs, embodies the perfect dialogue between ancient and modern. The ReDesign Tower not only adds aesthetic value to the area but also symbolizes how the urban future can honor and enhance history and culture while integrating sustainable and visionary innovations.
