The lava stone extracted by nerosicilia on the slopes of Mt. Etna makes the perfect match with the primary shapes of the Break Stone tables collection.
Giulio Cappellini drew inspiration from the primitive nature of the volcano and its magma to transmit a unique tactile and visual sensation.
The production process is a journey to the origins of the material. The table top is processed in a furnace to revive the lava stone and melt it back into magma, to then mould it into a new shape. The finishing is achieved through the fusion of lava with green, blue or maroon pigments and their natural vitrification.
