For Break Stone, Giulio Cappellini was inspired by the primal essence of volcanoes and magma.
The manufacturing process follows the same inspiration, with each tabletop being re-fired to give the lava stone a new appearance, returning it to its magma state. Subsequently, the lava is fused with color pigments, which vitrify upon contact with the fire.
