Mosaicomicro at the Mosaic workshop: Back to the Future – Design, materials and sustainable innovation
We had the pleasure of participating as guests in the Mosaic workshop: Back to the Future, curated by Robert Stadler and organized by Made Program as part of Made Labs, the educational initiative conceived by Made Program, the new project of the “Rosario Gagliardi” Academy of Fine Arts in Syracuse (Sicily).
This fourth edition of Made Labs, curated by Salvatore Lacagnina, includes twelve days of workshops and lectures lasting six days, led by world-renowned creative professionals and aimed at designers, architects and artists curious about new developments in their fields.
For us at Nerosicilia Group, it was a valuable opportunity to share our design vision and our work on sustainable materials with a new generation of creatives.
We began the day with a talk dedicated to our approach to material design: a philosophy that combines advanced technology and artisanal craftsmanship to transform recycled glass into a unique, sustainable surface deeply connected to the Sicilian territory.
Telling the story of Mosaicomicro, our artisanal processes, and the expressive possibilities of recycled materials allowed us to engage directly with students, sparking questions, reflections and new design ideas.
It was fascinating to see how our innovative solutions inspired participants in their experimental journeys, within a dynamic environment open to research and creative collaboration.
We thank Made Program, Robert Stadler and Salvatore Lacagnina for the invitation and for creating an environment where dialogue between companies and young talents can give rise to new ideas and shared visions for the design of the future.
